Choosing the perfect guest look can be complicated because there are many factors to take into account: the colors, whether to choose a long or short dress, printed or plain, what accessories to choose... So take note because we are going to give you 4 style tips to hit the nail on the head with your outfit!

1. Consider the where, when and time of the event

At first glance it may seem obvious, but the reality is that a few days before the event the weather can take a 360º turn, so be very attentive to the weather and the temperatures expected that day, especially if the event is held in autumn or spring because the weather is unpredictable. That's why, in the in-between seasons, it never hurts to bring some warm clothing such as a scarf or a guest cape to match your look. Prevention is better than cure!

You should also take into account the type of'dress code' and, for example, for a day wedding try to avoid long party dresses, except if you are going to have an important role as a bridesmaid or maid of honor. Therefore, for a morning event we recommend you to opt for a short party dress or a midi dress, also suitable for cocktail and evening celebrations. As an alternative to these looks, you can choose a two-piece ensemble that you can reuse on more occasions after the event.

However, remember to adapt to thedress code of the event and the time of year. Avoid white at a wedding, avoid black for daytime ceremonies and avoid colorful prints in winter, or if you want to go for them, combine them with neutral accessories to soften.

Dark colors and more autumnal tones such as burgundy, navy blue or green are suitable for events from September to February; and pastel tones and bright colors such as pink, mauve or yellow are reserved for the months of March to August.

Depending on the color you choose, select accessories that play with the same tones, contrasting or complementing the look. Silveraccessories go well with black, blue, white, beige or burgundy tones, while gold and bronze go great with red, violet, orange, brown and pastel fabrics such as pink and yellow.

3. Don't forget accessories and complements

Accessories are one of the most important things when dressing for an event. A well-chosen accessory can elevate any look and it is not a matter of wearing it or not, but of getting it right. The first thing to keep in mind when choosing accessories is that they should add to your look and not detract from it, so avoid overloading it!

4. Take care of the choice of footwear

The choice of footwear will depend on the dress, jumpsuit or outfit you have chosen. In daytime events you can choose a heeled shoe with less height and in the evening higher heels.

However, the most important thing is that you do not only let yourself be carried away by their appearance but also by their comfort. Choose shoes that you can dance until dawn without worries and if you are not used to heels, remember to bring a spare pair of comfortable shoes such as ballerinas, espadrilles or flat sandals.
